Let me first say that preparing for this post was a long, exhaustive, and thoroughly enjoyable process. So many posts, so many great conversations, so many memories, all unique to our own community. Having said that, it’s that time of year for retrospective lists.
However, rather than compile the same list of top viral memes you’ve already seen, I thought I’d do something a bit different and select some posts that made waves through Redux, though went largely unnoticed in the mainstream. There are probably more I should have included, though I can only reminisce so long before getting teary eyed.

This video is near the top of my list regardless of viral criteria. The fact that it stars some cool old dude somehow makes it even more awesome. Thanks to community champ uzair for bringing it to our attention.

Yeah, it was part of an ad campaign and was crafted in the mire of capitalist greed, but the video itself was so friggin hilarious (and relatable, if you’re from San Francisco) that I simple had to feature it here. Superprops to MHWD for the find.
The only thing that could have made this one better was a narration by Attenborough. Weaksauce for the win once again.
I had to feature at least one cat video, otherwise this wouldn’t be an official Internet list. To bolster its Internettyness, it also featured everyone’s favorite least favorite song. Booty and the rest of us know just how our protagonist feels.
If you’ve gotten this far, you must really have some time to kill. This extended comedic gem should be just the thing to sort you out. Thanks Prateek for 15 minutes wasted in hilarity.
